Coastal Landscape Inspiration

On July 24th I am releasing six new landscape oil paintings online with Well+Wonder.

This is my sixth annual summer collection of art inspired by the coast, and to be honest I don’t imagine I will ever break the tradition! I grew up in Greenville, NC which is in Eastern North Carolina and pretty close to the coast. My parents love the beach and took my sisters and I to Emerald Isle, NC almost every single summer, and we still go there for a week together even now with our partners, children, and dogs in tow. If you are so lucky to experience annual week-long visits by the water with your family too, then you know how deeply recharging they are!

A few of my favorite beachy things:

Seeing the sunrise over the ocean as you sip your coffee, going out early to the beach to tire the toddlers out before the grandparents are even awake, fresh seafood and knowing it’s the best you’ll have all year, and that last sunset walk before bed time (unless you go out again with flashlights and fishing poles!).
